LiL' Ole jr
. karaoke
What's with the name?
WHAT'S WITH THE NAME:
My Father's name is OLE, my wife's name is KAREN.
One night there were 3 Karen's singing Karaoke. To keep all the Karen's
straight, she was called up to sing as LIL' OLE. I was known as "OLE
JR." so we combined the 3 Ole's into
LIL' OLE JR.
LIL' OLE JR.
Lil' Ole
is: KAREN
Ole
is: OLE
and Ole Jr.
is: RICH
We thought it was unique and decided to keep it.
It took people a long time to catch on because “OLE” was being called up
to sing a lot. They would miss the “Lil” or “Jr.” part. It even confused
the people who were doing the Karaoke. Ole's "companion" that evening was
known as “MAMA OLE”. It was funny. We had a good time with it.
We launched our Karaoke business in November 2006,
after 11 grueling months of building it piece by piece.
The reason we decided to go into the Karaoke business
was because of New Years Eve 2005. Our Church had a gathering in a small
town Community Center and wanted to have Karaoke. One Karaoke Company wouldn't
do it, so we got to thinking about it. I told the Pastor that evening that
we will do it for them New Years Eve 2006.
Hours and hours were spent doing research online
about building our own system. With a lot of help from Party2Go
Karaoke, we started building our system.
We wanted to sound the best. We didn't want to sound
like all the other Karaoke Companies. We didn't want our system to sound
all bassy and muddy. We were looking for something that would be crisp,
clean, and clear. We wouldn't settle for anything less.
While building our system, We wondered how we could
be different from other Karaoke Companies. We wanted to do something other
than just New Years Eve. What we came up with was to help the Small Town
Bars.
Now we know the Small Town Bars can't afford what
Fargo ~ Moorhead pays for Karaoke. We are not in it for the money. We are
in the Karaoke Business to let people have a fun time. In return, we have
a great time too. It's a just a "hobby" for us.
What makes us different from other Karaoke Companies?
First:
Our Employees are are neat and clean in appearance!
They will be wearing Custom Made Professional Uniforms. We take pride in
the "First Impression" in our appearance.
Second:
We DO NOT have a bunch of
silly rules.
We spent hours upon hours doing research on what
people liked and disliked about Karaoke. We took this information and made
a list of “do and don'ts” and offer only the best for your customers.
We are in the business to provide a fun atmosphere
for your customers. We let the people sing! The average gap between
singers is only about 20 seconds. We do not play Trivia Games (or any
games) like some Companies do. We cater to the crowd.
There are 2 types of people who go to Karaoke
Bars. Those who like to sing, and those who just like to listen. If there
are people who want to sing, they get top priority.
We run an "On-Deck" show. This means people are
put on our Computer List in the order they sign up. If Matthew is the first
singer, he will always lead the show. Then Mark sings, he will know he
always follows Matthew. Luke sings after Mark, and knows he is the 3rd
in line, and will always follow Luke. Now it is John's turn. John knows
when Matthew sings, there are 2 others ahead of him. Giving John time to
buy another beer.
The person to sing is called up, and the next singer
is told they are "On-Deck" meaning they will be next.
Singers can not "Buy" their way up the list. We
have had people try and bribe us to let them sing sooner, and we have told
them "we can not be bought" and they have to wait their turn. It isn't
fair to the other people, and we will not make anyone wait longer than
they need to. We Do Not run a "paper shuffling show" like some others do,
letting only their favorites sing. We keep it FAIR by making things equal
to all.
Your customers are our customers. Without them
we wouldn't be in business either. They will always come first.
When we built our system, we had 2 goals in mind.
Our most important goal was to have our own sound.
We wanted our system to sound clean, clear, and crisp.
Our 2nd goal was to have our system light and compact.
Set-up and tear down takes about 20 minutes.
We offer you longer hours of services too, giving
you more bang for your buck. If we have to go through the work of setting
up anyway, it makes no difference to us if you want us from 9 PM to 12
AM, or if you want us from 6 PM to 1 AM. The price will be the same. It's
your business, we will just help enhance it for you. Let us know the hours
you would like us to be available for your customers, and we will be there.
GUARANTEED!
The Fine Print Made Easy:
We will NOT make you sign a contract!
We are the last business left to operate under
the “Old Fashioned, Gentleman's Agreement.” This means we will be there
on our scheduled day (s) at the time you set, for as many weeks as you
like. We won't ever “back out” on you, and ask that you do the same for
us in return. If you want to take a week or 2 off from Karaoke, just let
us know in advance. We will work with you.
We use our own equipment. (Unless you want your
own TV in the bar to monitor. Then we will hook into your monitoring system).
We do not use fog, hazing, bubble machines,
or anything else that will leave a mess.
The lights we use are simple and modest.
Our Karaoke Staff will always be courteous, and
polite.
Our Staff WILL NOT CONSUME ANY ALCOHOL WHILE
KARAOKE IS GOING ON.
We take pride in our Karaoke System. It is on the
cutting edge of technology and is leading the industry in sound. There
is nothing that even comes close to the way our system sounds.
All the shows we have performed thus far have had rave
reviews. People like our format, and love the way our system sounds.
